Giftedness & Twice-Exceptionality (2E) Assessment
Carnation Psychology provides giftedness & twice-exceptionality assessments for teens and adults in/around Centennial, CO to identify intellectual giftedness on its own, or how it may be interacting with ADHD, autism, or a learning disability.
Giftedness doesn't always look like effortless success. Many gifted teens and adults struggle with underachievement, perfectionism, intense emotional reactivity, boredom-driven inattention, or a persistent sense of being "too much" or "never enough". These patterns are often misread as anxiety, defiance, or laziness rather than understood for what they are.
Twice-exceptional (2e) individuals are both gifted AND have a co-occurring condition like ADHD, autism, or a learning disability. This combination is especially easy to miss: strong verbal or reasoning skills can mask a learning disability, and giftedness can camouflage ADHD or autism traits (or vice versa), leaving both realities undiagnosed for years. A comprehensive assessment untangles which parts of the picture are giftedness, which are a co-occurring condition, and how they're interacting.
This assessment is a natural fit for high-achieving teens and adults who've always sensed something didn't add up, excelling in some areas while quietly struggling in others, with no clear explanation why.

A 1.5hr feedback session to review findings and recommendations

Yes, this is actually one of the most common ways 2e goes unrecognized. Giftedness can mask a learning disability or ADHD, and vice versa, especially when someone is "getting by" but not thriving.

$4,000. I can provide detailed superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Unfortunately, twice-exceptional (2E) testing is rarely covered. Insurers classify 2E and psychoeducational evaluations as educational rather than medical, meaning they do not view identifying giftedness or learning-school profiles as a medical necessity.
